University values - message for Presidential Fellows, other research staff and PGR students
Dear all
Many thanks to all of our staff who have contributed to date to an important initiative currently taking place to uncover our University’s values. We have received contributions from staff working in all areas of the University, including academics, Professional Services colleagues, researchers and technical services staff
For those who are yet to take part, I wanted to send this email to encourage you to contribute by answering a couple of questions at: Our Values
Our University’s values will be at the heart of our University’s new strategic plan. The more people that take part by sharing their stories and thoughts on our existing values, the more certain we can be that what results represents the whole of our University.
Please do take a few minutes to complete the online form. You can read a longer message from our Registrar Patrick Hackett about values and comment at: Viewpoint
Best wishes,

Research with impact on international employment policiesRecruitment of students for marking up medical images
The Centre for Imaging Sciences, based in the Stopford Building on Oxford Rd, is looking for 4-6 computer science postgrad students to help with some data preparation as part of the Augment project, using hip image data from the UK Biobank project.
The students will be annotating data via the placement of key points of interest on images of hips using a newly developed tool, whilst also getting a good introduction to the variety of work we carry out here in Imaging Sciences.
Work will be paid at an hourly rate of £15 and we are looking to start asap.
If interested, please email jon.parkinson@manchester.ac.uk for further information.
