    Collection of Items from Campus

Further to Chris Hardacre’s recent message regarding the phased re-opening of some facilities in FSE buildings, we are now in a position to consider requests from staff and PGR students to access buildings to collect items which will enable to you to work from home more effectively.

If you wish to collect equipment, there are some constraints that you need to be aware of before submitting your request:

    • The University retains ownership of equipment or items, including those purchased with Department/School funds or with external research grant or contract funding.
    • Desktop PCs cannot be collected, you must contact IT Services with your IT equipment request.
    • For your personal safety, and for the safety of others, you may only take items that one person can safely carry – trollies will not be available. Staff or students with a disability can request assistance, but this is not routinely available.
    • You will be permitted to collect equipment or personal items only, you will not be allowed to undertake any work.
    • Another member of staff or PGR student can collect items on your behalf with your permission.

Please use this form to submit your request by 23 June 2020.

After the closing date, you will receive an email informing you of a specific collection date and time when you can access the room(s) detailed on your form. This email will provide access information including entry points, PPE recommendations and car parking information.

You will not be permitted to enter any other areas of the building or campus unless specified on your collection form. To accommodate all requests and manage social distancing, you are asked not to remain on campus unnecessarily.

We hope that this opportunity to collect items will help to make working from home easier.

    Best wishes,
