Frequently asked questions
Why can't I see the marks for external units?
Not all marks are published on the same date. See details above for expected semester 1 publication dates.
What was the outcome of my mitigating circumstances application?
If you wish to know the outcome of your mitigating circumstances submission e-mail the Student Support Officewho will aim to respond to e-mails within 1 week
Please note that that at this point in the year most recommendations are provisional (therefore subject to change) and have not been ratified by an Examination Board. The Mitigating Circumstances Panel that meets in the Summer will consider all mitigating circumstances submissions made throughout the year and make a final recommendation to the Examination Board in July 2019.
Why haven't any changes been made to my marks following my mitigating circumstances submission?
Requests for mitigation don't result in the changing of marks in individual units or overall. The recommendations of the Mitigating Circumstances Panel and what effect applying mitigation would have are reported to the Summer Examination Board and taken into account.
In cases where the Mitigating Circumstances Panel considerations lead to lifting of late flags being agreed, these actions will be carried out within the next few weeks.
Why can't I view my results
Year 1 - if you have not completed both the mandatory online health & safety and malpractice tests your access to Arcade will have been restricted. Please complete the relevant test(s) and inform the Student Support Office
Years 3 and 4 - If you have a debt owing to the University you will not be able to view your results. Please contact the Student Services Centre to arrange to clear the debt, once this is done they will remove the restriction.
