Announcement - New School Deputy Heads of Research (Engineering)
Dear all, we are pleased to announce a development to our School of Engineering research leadership team, where our Heads of Research for Engineering, Ian Cotton and Caroline Jay, are now joined by a new group of Deputy Heads of Research for the School. The new team will each lead on an aspect of research activity that cuts across the School, as well as work with Heads of Department to support research activities in local areas. The new Deputy Heads and the aspect of research that they will lead on are:
- Stuart Holmes – Postgraduate Research Strategy
- Peter Roberts - Research Data
- Clare Dixon - Academic Staff Development
- Vahid Niasar - Researcher Development
- Joel Turner - Facilities and Equipment
- Patrick Manu - Open Research
We have one more post to recruit to that will focus on outputs and impact across the School, and support EEE research activity, so keep an eye out for that to be advertised soon.
Finally, we thank our colleagues Gavin Brown, Krikor Ozanyan and John Francis who have now stood down from their roles as Heads of Research in their respective Departments, where they carried out tremendous work to both support colleagues as well as delivering on the huge task of submitting to REF2021.
Best wishes
Alice & Sarah
Alice Larkin (Head of School Engineering) and Sarah Mulholland (Head of School Operations Engineering)
